In the Beginning was the Eden: a house, a garden, dad, mum, a child. The sun shone. A dog barked. Everything worked. Then, a cloud appeared. A dark cloud. Somewhere afar. Nobody noticed it. Time passed. There were more and more clouds and a storm started. An earthquake. There was a change. Finally, everything disappeared. There was Nothing. Emptiness…
How to face it? Will the sun appear again? And the child’s face? Will the smile appear again on it?
A Simple Story is a story like many others – a bit sad, a bit merry, about emotions that come and go and about the things that remain.
A wordless performance based on the means of “teatr formy”(the stage form). Two actors, an intimate space, puppets and the decorations a la planchette (clipboard decorations) and music – all these elements build the dramatic laboratory in which a child has a chance to tame its emotions.
