Komedia dell’arte, włoski teatr ludowy z XVI wieku, charakteryzował się tym, że aktorzy nosili skórzane lub materiałowe półmaski określające stałe typy postaci, ich charakter, status i pochodzenie regionalne. Maski ułatwiały improwizację i wyrażały skrajne emocje. W komedii dell’arte postacie dzielą się na cztery główne grupy: starcy (panowie), słudzy (zanni), zakochani oraz kapitanowie. Każda z nich reprezentuje określony typ ludzki i nosi stałe cechy charakteru. Podstawą warsztatów będzie stworzenie masek dell’arte.

Commedia dell’arte, a form of Italian folk theatre from the 16th century, was characterised by actors wearing leather or cloth masks that would define the characters’ type, personality, social status or regional origins. The masks expressed extreme emotions and gave room for improvisation. Characters in commedia dell’arte divide into four main groups: elders (signori), servants (zanni), lovers and captains. Each group represents a specific human type and possesses fixed character traits. The workshops will focus on creating commedia dell’arte masks.

To podstawy manipulacji i związane z nią koncepcje cielesne, które czerpią zarówno z zasad mimiki w technice Decroux, somatycznego podejścia metody Feldenkraisa, jak i płynności energii oferowanej przez Aikido. Zajęcia zajmą się analizą czasownika „grać” i wywoływanym przez niego stanem zabawy, a tym samym zgłębią samą grę i jej zasady. Warsztaty będą eksplorować teatr i pamięć, na wzór haiku, gdzieś pomiędzy performance’em a instalacją.

These are the fundamentals of manipulation and the associated bodily concepts, which draw upon the principles of facial expression in the Decroux technique, the somatic approach of the Feldenkrais Method, and the fluidity of energy offered by Aikido. Classes will focus on the analysis of the verb play and the state of fun it evokes, thus exploring the play itself and its rules. The workshops will explore the theatre and memory in a way akin to haiku, somewhere between a performance and installation.

Teatr cieni wywodzi się z Chin, Indii i Indonezji. Płaskie lalki wykonane ze skóry, prowadzone przez animatora od tyłu, rzucają cień na ekranie, który jest oświetlany rozproszonym światłem ukośnie od góry. Lalka jest widoczna dla widza dopiero po dociśnięciu jej do ekranu. To magiczna gra cieni i światła. Zajęcia prowadzone są przez mgr Petronelę Dušovą, założycielkę Teatru Neline, aktorkę, reżyserkę, scenarzystkę, która od 2011 roku przekazuje kwidzyńskiej widowni swoją wiedzę na temat teatru lalek, prezentując swoje spektakle i prowadząc warsztaty teatralne.

Shadow theatre originates from China, India and Indonesia. Flat puppets, made of leather and manipulated from behind by the animator, cast a shadow on the screen illuminated by the diffused light coming diagonally from above. The puppet is visible only when it is pressed to the screen. It is a magical play of shadows and light. The classes are led by Petronela Dušová, MA, founder of the Neline Theatre, an actress, director and playwright, who has been sharing her knowledge of puppet theatre with the Kwidzyn audience since 2011, presenting her performances and running theatre workshops.
